RESOLUTION INTRODUCED BY THE EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE TO AUTHORIZE THE COUNTY ATTORNEY TO RETAIN LEGAL COUNSEL TO ASSIST IN THE REPRESENTATION OF THE COUNTY, ITS OFFICIALS AND EMPLOYEES

WHEREAS, over the years, various resolutions have been passed to authorize the County Attorney to retain legal counsel to represent the interests of the County of Sullivan, its officials and employees; and

 

WHEREAS, from time to time the County Attorney requires outside legal counsel to assist in representation in forums other than federal court.

 

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, the County Attorney is authorized to retain legal counsel to protect the interests of the County, whether by prosecution or defense, federal, state or other legal forum, at an economically competitive rate, as agreed by the County Manager.

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, this Resolution is effective as of January 1, 2018.
